Position Summary

Provide is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs at a chemical manufacturing facility. You'll own site compliance end to end — permitting, reporting, audits, training — and drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the plant. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows chemical plant EHS cold and wants to be the go-to safety leader on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure site compliance with all EHS regulations, including preparing site permitting documents on time

  • Prepare and submit all required regulatory reporting, including wastewater quarterly/annual reports and inspections, Tier II, STEERS, Form R (TRI), Storm Water Annual Report, industrial hazardous waste reports, Pollution Prevention (P2) Plans, and TCEQ operating status reports

  • Maintain organized, audit-ready EHS records and documentation

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and site communication materials in compliance with OSHA, EPA, PSM, and other applicable regulations

  • Conduct risk assessments and drive corrective actions to mitigate workplace hazards

  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis; ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and followed up

  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors, including powered industrial truck (PIT) certification — forklift, boom lift, scissor lift

  • Mentor site personnel on regulatory compliance, internal procedures, and industry standards

  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement — be the positive change agent on site

  • Conduct internal audits and lead/coordinate external regulatory inspections — keep the site inspection-ready at all times

  • Partner with the Site Manager / Industrial Director to build and maintain an EHS KPI dashboard tracking site improvement

  • Keep stakeholders informed through regular and on-request communications

  • Lead or participate in cross-functional company initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of EHS experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, including in an EHS Manager or similar leadership role

  • Hands-on experience preparing site permitting documents

  • Direct experience preparing and filing EHS regulatory reports (Tier II, STEERS, Form R, Storm Water, etc.)

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, PSM, PHA, DOT, and environmental regulations

  • Experience with hazardous and flammable chemicals, waste management, and chemical industry site permitting

  • Proven experience with risk assessment, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and drive organizational change

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), Six Sigma, or equivalent

  • Deep experience with Process Safety Management (PSM), PHA, and hazardous chemical handling

  • Knowledge of business and management principles — budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation
