Environ Service Aide - Environmental Services - SUPPLEMENTAL EVENINGS SHIFTS

Required:

• Ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions
• Perform all cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and sanitary environment

TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

• Prolonged standing and walking
• Frequently bend, stoop, stretch, twist and turn
• Lift 20 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally, push and pull 50 lbs frequently, up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Physical tolerance to cleaning agents and chemicals
• Assess situations and prioritize workload demands while coping with stressful situations
• Some exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs daily and restorative cleaning tasks and functions in all patient care and support areas of hospital or satellite facilities
• Delivers clean linen as needed
• Replenishes floor stock and other housekeeping supplies as required in a cost effective manner
• Operates and maintains all cleaning equipment in a safe and competent manner
• Develops a working familiarity of all precautions, use and disposal methods of all chemicals used in the normal course of meeting job responsibilities
• Removes and replaces drapes and cubicle curtains as needed

Marginal Job Functions:

• Acts in a charge capacity as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
