ENV SVCS WKR/ HOUSEKEEPER
Responsibilities
MUST HAVE availability to attend an 8- business day Orientation from 8a-4p without interruptions. Prior EVS experice in a medical setting/environment is required on resume for consideration.
Background check & Drug Screen
Need reliable, full-time staff.
- Performs a variety of cleaning and laundry tasks in accordance with established work routines and under the directions of the Environmental Service Manager.
- Performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the routine upkeep, maintenance and repair to the physical plant, building, grounds and equipment.
- Works to achieve excellence in total facility appearance.
- Works within safety structures while performing all tasks.
Requirements
Valid HS Diploma/GED Required.
Previous Environmental Services / House Keeper experience in a medical environment required.
Maintains facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition.
Responsible for daily disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials.
Must handle various cleaning solvents and chemicals in accordance with established safety regulations.
Uses safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
Aids with housekeeping duties as necessary or assigned.
Performs all other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Specialized Skills and Knowledge:
- The ability to read and implement written instructions and the ability to understand and implement oral instructions.
- The ability to operate the floor machine, auto scrubber, vacuum, extraction equipment, washer, and dryer, lawn mowers, other gardening equipment and any other equipment necessary to perform the assigned task.
- Knowledge in routine maintenance and complete floor care at a medical facility, including but not limited to carpeting, painting, masonry, electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, refrigeration, general mechanics, and gardening.
- Basic Computer skills.
Skills
- Ability to stand, bend, walk, climb a 6-foot ladder, lift up to 75 pounds and to withstand the physical strains from the use of all required equipment.
- The ability to measure the proper solutions as related to the specific task.
