HOUSEKEEPER I, SNH-ENV SVCS

About the role

To perform daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, bathrooms, elevators, stairwells in a clean and sanitary manner in accordance with the standard housekeeping procedures.

Participates in the department’s performance improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, bathrooms, elevators, stairwells in a clean and sanitary manner in accordance with the standard housekeeping procedures.
• Participate in the department’s performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and follow directives.
• Completion of high school is desired educational requirement.
• Previous experience desirable but not required.
• Must, after brief training, be able to demonstrate correct use of chemicals, supplies, and assigned tools.
• One week to three months on-the-job training.
• Must be able to maintain awareness and judgment to input information into the Bed Turn-Over computer system.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to certain levels of stress.
• Constant standing or walking with regular periods of concentration.

Skills

• Ability to read, write, and follow directives.
• Correct use of chemicals, supplies, and assigned tools.
