About the role

Diamond Grove Center has been providing psychiatric services to the surrounding counties in Central Mississippi since 1992. Located in Louisville, Mississippi, our 85-bed facility provides a peaceful setting for those seeking treatment for behavioral issues. Diamond Grove Center offers unique and individualized programming for children and adolescents, ranging from ages 5-17, which sets us apart from many other treatment facilities. Diamond Grove Center has a tenured leadership team, which includes a seasoned nursing department.

The Housekeeper plays a vital part of the Diamond Grove Center team. The Housekeeper must ensure a safe, clean, properly maintained facility for the wellbeing of patients and staff. The Housekeeper will also maintain the facility clean per standards set by the facility Environmental Services policies and procedures, set by the Director of Facility Operations. Individual must be able to work well with children, adolescents, and adults.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Infection Control Procedures
• Use of pre-blending chemical mixing machine
• Use of general housekeeping tools: brooms, vacuums, etc.
• Use of wet/dry vacuum machines
• Use of buffers and scrubbers
• Use of linen and garbage carts

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in housekeeping, infection control, and floor/carpet maintenance
• Requires dependability, punctuality, and good physical condition
• Ability to work with all staff and to relate well with patients and visitors, including use of good judgment in limiting conversations with patients and co-workers
