Entry to Mid-Level Landscape Architect

About the role

Terra Tec Landscapes is a progressive award-winning landscape contracting company based in Richfield, Wisconsin. We specialize in designing for both residential and commercial spaces and environments across southeastern Wisconsin, with occasional projects beyond this region. We are seeking an individual passionate about designing outdoor spaces and possessing strong interpersonal skills for selling and prospecting new projects.

Responsibilities

• Work with our senior landscape designer to develop graphic illustrations.
• Work with our senior designer to develop rough site drawings and plans.
• Provide design expertise and prepare solutions for landscape projects.
• Consult with product manufacturers, evaluate, and select construction materials.
• Complete site visits to gather and review information, then communicate it to the senior landscape designer.
• Use knowledge of trees, shrubs, ground covers, perennials, and annuals to create landscape plans.
• Possess the ability to prospect for new landscape projects.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent.
• 1-4 years of professional experience (including summer internships).
• High proficiency or proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Technical knowledge of landscape architecture site development elements.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills for selling and prospecting new projects.
• Passion for designing outdoor spaces.

Skills

• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Knowledge of trees, shrubs, ground covers, perennials, and annuals.
• Ability to prospect for new landscape projects.
