Entry Level Transportation Engineer

About the role

The role is located in Hartford, CT and is part of the Transportation Department. It offers real experience across various roadway and traffic design projects, with a guaranteed seat in Blueprint, a new early career leadership program.

Responsibilities

• Carry out traffic analysis and forecasting
• Carry out traffic impact studies
• Contribute to the design of highway and road layouts
• Conduct speed studies
• Help implement complete streets designs
• Support securing necessary permits and approvals
• Assist with corridor modeling
• Estimate costs for transportation infrastructure construction projects
• Provide transportation support on large, multidisciplinary civil/site projects, including:
• Public schools design
• Collegiate/secondary education facility design
• Rail trail/bike path design
• Drainage & culvert design
• Bridge replacement projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• EIT registration preferred
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Synchro
• Experience with construction and/or land surveying
• Exposure to CTDOT standards

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $105,000 per year.
