Entry Level Traffic Engineer
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of engineers, planners, and technicians on roadway and transit projects
- Perform field investigations, assisting in traffic analysis, design, and construction support tasks
- Prepare construction cost estimates and quantities
- Design Traffic Signals and signal timings per agency standards
- Prepare Traffic Signal plans
- Experienced in or have the ability to learn traffic modeling
- Prior software experience including Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, AIMSUN, CUBE, TransCAD, ARCGIS a plus
Requirements
- Bachelor’s of Science in Civil or Electrical Engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred
- 0-3 years experience in the field of traffic engineering
- Familiarity with ITS technologies and wireless communications is a plus
- Familiarity with NJDOT, NJTA, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and/or PANYNJ highway projects preferred but not required

The projected range for this position is $79,800 - $82,300 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
