Entry Level Structural Engineer

About the role

MJ Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Land Surveying, P.C. (MJ) is accepting applications for a Building Structural Engineer to join their team in Clifton Park, NY.

Responsibilities

• Work within a project team to support structural projects from initial project programming up to and through construction.
• Analysis and design of building structures, including reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, concrete masonry, wood, and steel.
• Communicate effectively and coordinate with project team members, including sub-consultants and other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited college with 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Registration as an Intern Engineer in NY is preferred.
• Understanding of NYS building codes and regulations.
• Technical knowledge in the use of AutoCAD.
• Technical knowledge in BIM.
• Able to work within multiple design teams and execute to meet demanding schedules.
• Have excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or be eligible to work without an employer sponsorship.
