About the role

This position offers an excellent opportunity to assist in the design and analysis of precast and prestressed concrete components and their connections for a variety of projects. You will use design and graphics software such as ACAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Risa. This role provides an invaluable chance to gain hands-on experience in new building structural designs and develop your skills under the guidance of senior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned engineering tasks on projects, assisting in the design and analysis of precast and prestressed concrete components and connections.
  • Analyze load transfer through each component to ensure structural integrity.
  • Utilize design and graphics software, including ACAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Risa, to create accurate and efficient structural designs.
  • Participate in project meetings and interact with clients to understand design requirements and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Pursue and coordinate required engineering information with the project team, as necessary, to maintain project schedules.
  • Communicate changes in schedule or scope of work with the Project Engineer and/or Project Manager.
  • Stay current with engineering best practices, industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Support the team in reviewing and revising designs as necessary to meet safety, budget, and schedule requirements.
  • Perform drafting and checking responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to commute to our office in Arvada, CO.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year engineering program (meets NCEES standards for licensing).
  • Has passed FE Examination.
  • Exhibits sound structural engineering judgment through education, work experience, or portfolio.
  • Exhibits ability to independently generate thorough and accurate engineering calculations.
  • Knowledge of ACAD/Revit modeling software, RISA, and Bluebeam.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft OS, including teams.
  • Possess average level modeling/drafting skills in ACAD.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop professionally in the field of structural engineering.

Pay

Salary starts at $60k-65k.

Schedule

This is a full-time, in-office position during the initial training period. Hybrid flexibility is typically available after six months of onboarding and demonstrated performance.
