Entry-Level Software Engineer, Signals Intelligence

About the role

Boeing is seeking an Entry-Level Software Engineer to join the Argon ST - Signals Intelligence team in Fairfax, Virginia. In this role, you will support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security Software Engineering organization by developing cutting-edge SIGINT software solutions that intercept RF signals, process data, and deliver critical insights.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software applications for SIGINT products using React, TypeScript, and/or Java.
• Contribute to back-end services primarily developed in Java to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Document and maintain software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs.
• Solve complex problems with innovative solutions while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
• Participate actively in Agile development processes and the full software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.

Requirements

• Experience with Java, JavaScript, or C++.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and core software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in using git version control.
• Strong skills in technical troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or a related field (preferred).
• Experience with React and TypeScript (preferred).
• Familiarity with Agile software development processes (preferred).
• Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) system experience (preferred).
• Current Top Secret SCI clearance (preferred).
• Willingness to travel as needed (less than 10%).
