About the role
Code that saves lives. As a software developer at Epic, you’ll write software that impacts the lives of 325 million patients around the world. Working in your own office, surrounded by thousands of high-caliber developers, you’ll use modern development methodologies and employ user-centered design, analytics, and machine learning tools to drive innovation in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Use leading-edge technologies and languages like JS, TS, and C# to invent better ways to reduce medical errors, streamline record sharing between hospitals, and provide the quality of care a patient deserves.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver impactful solutions.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through active participation in code reviews, pair programming, and agile ceremonies.
- Participate in code audits and security assessments to ensure Epic’s software remains secure and reliable.
Requirements
- BS/BA or greater in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A history of academic excellence or professional success.
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship (persons with appropriate qualifications and eligible for TN status under NAFTA may apply).
Qualifications
- Experience with modern development methodologies and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Skills
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and C#.
- Experience with Agile development practices.
- Knowledge of healthcare IT systems and standards.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
