Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer
About the role
The ideal candidate will join Dewberry's Gainesville, VA office to work on all phases of civil/municipal engineering including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, water and sanitary sewer design, and erosion and sediment control design.
Responsibilities
- Conducting permitting and code research
- Writing specifications
- Preparing and submitting permit applications
- Analyzing hydrologic and hydraulic models and computations for storm water and watershed master planning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Previous internship experience in Site/Civil engineering preferred
- Knowledge of floodplain delineation, storm water management, culvert and bridge hydraulics, and drainage design
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency using CADD
- Desire to work in a team environment
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam preferred but not required

Pay
The projected range for this position is $80,400 - $82,900 annually.
