This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, with core products such as fuselages, pylons, nacelles, and wing components, focusing on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Represents the Wichita site by providing answers to product-related questions, tracing lost shipments, and interpreting and clarifying customer orders for the shipping department.
- Takes orders over the phone and manages web-based ordering.
- Confers with management regarding customer credits and returns goods for credit; identifies quality assurance complaints.
- Approves allocation of stock within negotiated contract terms or organizationally defined parameters.
- Accesses production systems to manage customer sales orders and suppliers through inventory systems.
- Coordinates internally with contract administration, production, purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, traffic, and warehousing.
- Scope is limited to commercial operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or client interface roles.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Strong data-driven decision-making skills.
- Experience with SAP (preferred).
- Willingness to work overtime and be available for on-call duties.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple functions and with diverse customer bases.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Pay
- Entry Level (Level 1) pay range: $37,700 – $57,800, based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.
- Eligible employees may qualify for a $5,000 Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years.
