Entry level Production Helper

About the role

Performs essential job functions as directed under close supervision. This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus and is deemed safety-sensitive due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work for processing, including cleaning, wiring, fixturing, etc.
• Loads and unloads bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Stacks/loads parts in customer bins or containers.
• Immediately brings any unusual problem, irregularity, or concern to Heat Treatment Management.
• Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
• Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• Responsible for the care and treatment of customers’ inventory in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
• Must report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.
• Allows for cross-training and the development of additional skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
• May be required to work overtime.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.

Physical & Mental Demands

• Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment.
• Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
• Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity.
• Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Schedule

Full-time, 40+ hours per week. Hours for this position are 7am - 3pm, Monday through Friday.
