Responsibilities
- Maintain order on-campus pursuant to College policies, state, and federal law.
- Provide facility and patron security.
- Perform parking and traffic enforcement and routine patrol.
- Conduct investigations.
- Provide emergency care.
- Perform forcible arrests as necessary.
- Document incidents.
- Maintain a good rapport with college faculty, staff, and patrons.
- Maintain appropriate records.
- Provide assistance upon request.
- Testify in a court of law.
- Wear and maintain appropriate uniform.
- Maintain current certifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- No felony convictions; must pass a thorough background check with fingerprinting.
- Must complete an on-the-job field training officer program.
- Pass required written exam provided by the National Testing Network, Inc. (NTN).
- Pass an oral interview.
- Pass a psychological evaluation.
- Pass a physical fitness test.
- Pass a medical exam.

Pay
The annual salary for this position is $53,809.60.
Schedule
This is an On-Campus, Full-Time, 12-Month appointment covered by the Public Safety Officer's Association.
