The Rolling Meadows Police Department seeks individuals who can demonstrate dedication to excellence and a commitment to community-oriented policing. The department is open to applications until further notice.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls for service
• Captures evidence and prepares reports
• Conducts investigations and makes arrests
• Issues citations and appears in court
• Provides visible patrol and targeted traffic enforcement
• Assists the public and addresses community concerns
• Maintains compliance with department and city policies
• Performs additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Passing score of at least 70.00% on the written examination
• Completion of a one-way video interview through NTN
• Scheduling a ride-along with the Rolling Meadows Police Department
• A passing score of at least 70.00% on the oral interview

Qualifications

• Citizenship: Legal authorization to work in the US and permission to possess firearms
• Driver's License: Valid driver’s license
• Age: 21 at application deadline, under 35 at appointment
• Vision Acuity: Correctable to 20/40, free of color blindness
• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Physical Ability: Proof of a passing POWER s within one year
• Environmental Conditions: Exposure to various weather conditions, rotating and permanent shifts, and maintaining physical fitness
