Entry Level Physical Properties Technicians

Shift Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM

As a Physical Properties Technician in the Scientific Insourcing Solutions division, you’ll put your love of science to work, receive training to grow an exciting laboratory sciences career, and contribute to making the world a safer, healthier place.

Responsibilities

• Preparing test samples
• Routine equipment maintenance
• Testing properties of solids, paper, tape, and film products, such as:
  • Tensile & shear strength
  • Bond strength
  • Mechanical properties (MTS tester)
  • Density and viscosity tests
• Assist with lab maintenance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a science field (Chemistry and Physics preferred)
• Experience in a lab using precision measurement tools and electronic equipment
• Experience with creation and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets
• Excellent communication skills
• Organization and task management skills
• Observation skills and curiosity, with a willingness to speak up and contribute to the team’s goal
• Mechanically inclined with experience using common hand tools
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs

Pay

$22.00 per hour
