Entry Level Overhead Transmission Line Engineer
About the role
We are seeking an Overhead Transmission Line Engineer to join our Energy and Power team in Boston, MA; Cary, NC; Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; or Ft. Worth, TX. The successful candidate shall demonstrate excellent communication and technical writing skills paired with technical knowledge in overhead transmission line design.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with regional and global Transmission & Distribution (T&D) delivery teams to support utility/developer clients and operations teams.
- Develop design deliverables for utility upgrades including greenfield/brownfield projects, and developer interconnection facilities.
- Understand client standards and design guidelines to prepare project deliverables under the direction of the project lead.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Experience with Microsoft suite applications and Auto CAD, and structural design software.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- One to two years relevant professional experience in Overhead Transmission Line Engineering design.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Familiarity with structure design and foundation design fundamentals.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $101,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
