Entry Level Microbiologist

About the role

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services is seeking a second shift employee to join our team. This position involves completing all necessary training in a timely manner and performing various tasks and analyses of bio/pharmaceutical ingredients and products under the supervision of an experienced analyst/mentor.

Responsibilities

• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Applies the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility
• Demonstrates strong client service skills, communicates effectively, both orally and in writing
• Maintains regular attendance and punctuality
• Performs laboratory operations with good dexterity, good laboratory technique, and high degree of accuracy and precision
• Performs/reviews preparations of reagents, samples, and standards according to procedures
• Documents testing, observations, deviations, and results clearly and completely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Reads and understands analytical procedures (compendial and client supplied) and internal SOP's
• Uses MS Windows applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook email
• Processes data, generates reports, and evaluates data
• Performs laboratory maintenance and maintains a clean workspace
• Commitment to occasional overtime as workload requires

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology, or related degree concentration
• MUST have authorization to work in the US indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Experience with microscopes and biological safety cabinets
• Experience with media preparation, pipetting, organism/culture preparation, serial dilution, and aseptic technique

Additional Information

• Working schedule: Full-Time, Second Shift, Tues-Sat 3pm-11pm
• Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply
• No relocation assistance will be given
• 25% travel may be required
