Responsibilities

  • Utilize Autodesk Revit to produce detailed design documents.
  • Aid in performing airside and hydronic calculations for multiple mechanical systems.
  • Build an understanding and ability to develop hydronic & airflow flow diagrams.
  • Select and specify HVAC equipment.
  • Avoid delays by meeting project deadlines, including working necessary hours to complete major deliverables.
  • Review and gain an understanding of local and national construction codes and project specifications.
  • Be proficient in using Microsoft tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
  • Travel to project sites when required (less than 10% travel).
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and clients.
  • Work independently while coordinating with senior personnel and other disciplines.
  • Participate in training and mentoring opportunities to grow knowledge and capabilities.
  • Maintain excellent organizational skills, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • 2 or 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology preferred, HVAC construction experience with a drafting certification will be considered as well.
  • Past internship, co-op, or work experience in a consulting engineering role is a plus.
  • Experience working in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Experience using Revit in either an educational or professional context is a plus.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a plus.
