Responsibilities
- Utilize Autodesk Revit to produce detailed design documents.
- Aid in performing airside and hydronic calculations for multiple mechanical systems.
- Build an understanding and ability to develop hydronic & airflow flow diagrams.
- Select and specify HVAC equipment.
- Avoid delays by meeting project deadlines, including working necessary hours to complete major deliverables.
- Review and gain an understanding of local and national construction codes and project specifications.
- Be proficient in using Microsoft tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
- Travel to project sites when required (less than 10% travel).
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and clients.
- Work independently while coordinating with senior personnel and other disciplines.
- Participate in training and mentoring opportunities to grow knowledge and capabilities.
- Maintain excellent organizational skills, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications
- 2 or 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology preferred, HVAC construction experience with a drafting certification will be considered as well.
- Past internship, co-op, or work experience in a consulting engineering role is a plus.
- Experience working in the construction industry is a plus.
- Experience using Revit in either an educational or professional context is a plus.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a plus.
