Entry Level Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory at our Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory site in Niskayuna, New York is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer. You will work with our design team to review mechanical and plumbing calculations, design drawings, and technical specifications for building and site infrastructure construction projects. Additional responsibilities include performing construction inspections, participating in production meetings, developing and reviewing construction cost estimates, performing evaluations, and interfacing with facility sponsors, architect & engineering firms, and contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, or science field; or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, or science field.

Preferred Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Prior experience in the construction or consulting engineering field.
• Familiarity with Codes (New York State Building Code, ASHRAE, ASME).

Pay

Pay Range: $63,900.00 - $97,800.00 annually. Salary is based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.
