Entry Level Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We’re seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer with an interest in Anaerobic Digestion Process and Bioenergy Systems to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. You’ll have the opportunity to use your theoretical knowledge and apply it to solving today’s challenges. As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide by providing a range of engineering services.

Responsibilities

• Provide system design calculations and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other disciplines (electrical, instrumentation & control, civil, structural, and architectural) under the guidance of Professional Engineers.
• Assist in the design of wastewater treatment, solids processing, and biogas utilization systems.
• Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the work assigned to you by demonstrating the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
• Desire to plan, design mechanical process systems (wastewater solids processing pumping, thickening, anaerobic digestion, dewatering, and biogas utilization cogeneration and renewable natural gas systems)
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline preferred
• Live within commutable distance from the office
• Engineer in Training (EIT) proficiency
• Proficiency in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, gas dynamics, and combustion
• Prior work experience with an engineering firm in an internship or similar research

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $58,656.00 to $88,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
