Job Responsibilities

• Create a safe work environment by prioritizing safety.
• Understand the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance.
• Understand the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance.
• Understand design practices and work processes, using all software applications used in design.
• Understand industry and client design standards.
• Supporting design standard and criteria development for the system.
• Supporting construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations.
• Estimate material for projects, transmit construction packages, and support specifications.

Education Requirements

An accredited bachelor’s degree with a focus in Mechanical, Civil, or General engineering experience.

About the Role

The Engineer 1 position requires 0-5 years of related experience and an accredited bachelor’s degree with a focus in Mechanical, Civil or General engineering experience.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have introductory engineering knowledge, basic problem-solving skills, and basic discipline software knowledge. They must also possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff, and/or vendors.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to apply engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power-related systems. They will also be able to support estimate preparation, develop design options, and prepare construction specifications.
