Entry Level Manufacturing

About the role

Service Wire Company, a premier supplier of industrial and utility wire and cable, is currently seeking Entry Level Manufacturing and Distribution workers in Culloden, WV. No experience required—full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Cut wire to specified length based on customer requirements
• Palletize and prepare orders for shipment
• Record all material information including item code, damage, reel number, miscuts, location, and cut information
• Process orders based on urgency and expedite accordingly
• Assist with inventory control and maintaining stock levels
• Maintain safety standards and a clean, organized work environment
• Transport wire and materials throughout the facility using a forklift
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or one year of related industrial experience or equivalent training
• Demonstrate strong basic math and measuring skills
• Ability to read, comprehend, and respond to general instructions, direction, and correspondence, both oral and written
• Cooperate and interact with members of various departments
• Personal protective equipment is required
• Participate in company safety training
• Complete company forklift operation training and certification

Physical Demands / Work Environment

• Temperatures may be impacted by extreme outdoor weather in plant and warehouse
• Regularly stands, bends, and reaches for extended periods
• Regularly moves about the facility
• Regularly lifts and moves materials up to 50 pounds
• Regularly uses hand and finger dexterity to adjust and manipulate controls, tools, and objects
• Occasionally required to move up to 100 pounds by pushing, pulling, or sliding material (assistance provided as needed)
• Visual inspection of material quality required
• Must be able to work in hot and cold environments without climate control
• In-person attendance is an essential function of the job

Schedule

Must be available to work one of the following shifts:

• 1st Shift – 6:30 am – 3:00 pm
• 2nd Shift – 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm
• 3rd Shift – 10:30 pm – 7:00 am

Pay

Earn up to $20 per hour in this position.
