Entry-Level Maintenance Worker

About the role

The Entry-Level Maintenance Worker will perform basic repairs of equipment, welding of consumable items, repair and rebuild of pumps, preventative maintenance on equipment, and complete work orders directed by maintenance lead, supervisors, or managers.

Responsibilities

• Cut, bend, and weld pipe and fittings according to drawings.
• Perform daily walkthroughs and communicate with production supervisors.
• Use upkeep to track daily activities and create work orders.
• Repair pumps including new motors, wiring, shafts, etc.
• Effectively communicate needs of supply items.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to schedule.
• Complete work orders generated in upkeep and/or communicated by supervisors or managers.
• Keep shop clean and organized.
• Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician (e.g., repairing basic electrical equipment, replacement of 3-phase motors).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Related experience preferred.
• On-the-job training offered.

Skills

• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
• Ability to MIG weld.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

• Production Incentive: Earned based on perfect attendance and production output of 29–31+ tons. Pays an additional $2.00–$4.00/hour for regular hours and $3.00–$6.00/hour for overtime. Paid monthly.
• Royalty Incentive:
  • 5 years of continuous employment: One-time bonus of $3,000
  • 10 years of continuous employment: One-time bonus of $8,000
  • 15 years of continuous employment: One-time bonus of $15,000

Pay

$24.00 – $25.00 per hour

Schedule

4:00 PM – 12:00 AM, with overtime as needed.
