ENTRY LEVEL - Maintenance Technician - Swing Shift

About the role

Agregate Maintenance Technician-Swing Shift is responsible for maintaining mining processing equipment in a state of readiness. Performs the appropriate inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on processing and conveying equipment. Prepares all required daily/weekly department operating reports.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on plan equipment by following the manufacturer’s recommended service intervals and company procedures.
• Maintains an inventory of regularly required replacement parts.
• Inspects condition and operation of plant equipment and performs necessary repairs and adjustments.
• Reports required repairs or other findings to Supervisor.
• Performs required emergency repairs on production equipment required to address plant breakdowns.
• Adheres to all safety, environmental and company policies and procedures in completing daily tasks, and completes all required paperwork in a timely fashion.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
• Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

Requirements

• Required Education: High School diploma/equivalent
• Required Work Experience: Experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in industrial environments. Must have basic mechanical aptitude and general industrial maintenance to include: stick welding, arc welding, lite fabrication, cutting torch, and wrenching (hand tools).
• Preferred experience operating a skid-steer, man-lift, and other industrial equipment
• Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
• Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
