Entry Level LMSW Social Worker Opportunity (Bilingual English/Spanish OR Arabic)

Position Summary

As a member of the Social Services Department, the Social Worker II/III (LMSW) provides patients with supportive counseling, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, advocacy, and connections to support services. The role is full‑time, based out of family health centers in the Bronx, NY, with a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day remote). This opportunity is suitable for newly licensed LMSWs and offers capacity to receive clinical hours.

Key Duties

• Conduct psychosocial assessments, provide supportive counseling, complex case management, and crisis intervention.
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to assess and address patients’ psychosocial barriers to care.
• Refer and connect patients with services, including behavioral health treatment and community‑based organizations.
• Document all in‑person and telephone encounters with patients in a timely manner.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations per UHP policy.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work (required).
• New York State LMSW certification (required).
• Previous experience and/or training with crisis intervention.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Dedication to supporting patients in the community.
• Core computer skills, including ability to maintain electronic health records.
• Bilingual in English and Arabic or Spanish.

Compensation

Starting salary range: $67,600 – $75,000 per year.

Schedule & Location

Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote. Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Bronx, NY.
