Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, phones, mobile devices, and related hospital technology.
- Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, and in-person support requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, network connectivity, printing, and user account issues.
- Aid with equipment setup, deployment, relocation, replacement, inventory tracking, and asset tagging.
- Install and update approved software under the direction of IT leadership.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks, including preparing equipment and user access.
- Document issues, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and equipment changes in the ticketing or inventory system.
- Support common systems such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, email, printers, and other business applications.
- Follow IT policies, security procedures, and confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA-related expectations.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff, vendors, or leadership as appropriate.
- Participate in IT projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A basic understanding of computers, Windows operating systems, printers, networking concepts, and common office software is required.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous help desk, technical support, or customer service experience is preferred.
- A CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or other entry-level IT certification is preferred.
