Entry level inventory clerk

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily inventory activities, including tracking incoming and outgoing materials, verifying counts, and updating inventory records.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by checking deliveries, labeling items, and organizing storage areas.
• Conduct physical inventory checks and report discrepancies.
• Help maintain accurate inventory control systems.
• Use basic computer applications to input data (inventory software, spreadsheets, email).
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying deliveries and organizing materials.
• Experience or aptitude in physical inventory tasks, such as counting, reconciling, and recording stock levels.
• Knowledge or interest in inventory control practices, including tracking items and maintaining accurate records.
• Strong communication skills for working with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments.
• Basic computer literacy, including use of inventory software, spreadsheets, and email.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn inventory processes and safety procedures.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move materials in a warehouse or yard environment, following safety guidelines.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior warehouse or inventory experience is helpful.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.
