Entry Level Forklift Operator (Night Shift 6p-6a, 4 on/4 off)

Main Responsibilities

• Maintain supplies for mainline strapper (cross-outs, strap, Techshield bags and paint)
• Complete forklift inspection checklist
• Organize and manage finished product from mainline production
• Organize product stored in warehouse
• Facilitate the process of re-graded product exiting the mainline
• Assist with mill forklift needs
• Inventory and communicate downgraded material to sawline operator
• Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of simple equipment operation
• Knowledge of general equipment maintenance
• Time management skills
• Demonstrated mechanical ability
• Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations
• Must possess a valid driver's license to operate mobile equipment

Education and Experience

• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• 3 - 6 months experience in mobile equipment operation preferred
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position

Work Environment

• Plant environment with exposure to sawdust, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and other inclement conditions
