Forklift Operator - Part Time Night Shift

Our Gaylord, Minnesota location produces liquid egg, hard-cook egg, and precooked egg products such as scrambled, patties, and omelets.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in daily pre-shift meetings and team stretching.
• Operate forklift in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
• Complete daily forklift inspections; report and remove from service if defects are found.
• Accurately ship and receive products, performing Quality Reassurance Checks (QRC).
• Identify and address safety issues or infractions on the warehouse floor.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation and paperwork.
• Accurately fulfill customer orders, including special instructions.
• Collaborate with office staff to resolve discrepancies and issues efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse: report damages and ensure proper pallet storage.
• Promote a team-oriented work environment through positive communication.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and uphold food safety and quality standards.
• Report any practices or conditions that may affect food safety, product quality, or employee safety.
• Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successful completion of a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training program and ability to pass forklift certification.
• Ability to effectively read, write, and speak English.
• Strong math and configuration skills.
• Ability to assess situations and make sound decisions that prioritize safety and support company operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience in a palletized warehouse environment (preferred).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• PIT certification is preferred but not required at time of hire — all Distribution Operators will receive MFI-approved training and certification upon employment.

Schedule

Flexible part-time schedule: 30 hours per week between the hours of 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $19.50 to $23.50 per hour.
