Entry-Level Field Testing Technicians

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Building Science Testing Technician to join its Building Science Solutions team in Waukesha, Wisconsin. This position offers a dynamic career in the building enclosure testing industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and site assessments under direct supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.
• Operate testing equipment and conduct tests (e.g., air and water infiltration).
• Provide assessments of data through reporting.
• Use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
• Communicate effectively with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• General construction, carpentry, or construction testing experience.
• Experience using power tools.
• Technical competency to understand and communicate test procedures, specifications, and results.
• Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds or more, sit, stand, crouch, bend, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, push, pull, etc. as required to perform job duties.
• Able to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to travel as business needs indicate - up to 25% overnight/out of town.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required.
