Entry Level Dryer Aide (6a-6p. 4 on / 4 off)

Job Purpose

To assist with the operation of the drying process in an OSB manufacturing facility.

What You Will Do

• Clean and maintain bark burner, dryers, dry bins, wood burner and fuel areas
• Complete inspection of Bark Burner and Thermal Oil Heating and transferring system (checklist and inspection report)
• Absorb responsibility for managing reclaimed processed wood and fuel
• Absorb responsibility for assisting with Dryer process upsets
• Collect gas usage per shift
• Perform sampling for dryer moisture meter verification and Bark fuel moisture sample
• Perform other duties as necessary

What You Need

• Knowledge of simple equipment operation
• Knowledge of general equipment maintenance
• Time management skills
• Demonstrated mechanical ability
• Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations

Education and Experience

• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• 3 - 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position

Work Environment

Plant environment with exposure to sawdust, chemicals, extreme temperatures (hot and cold), and other inclement conditions.
