Entry Level Diesel Technician

Schedule

Full time; Monday–Wednesday and every other weekend, 3:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m.

About the role

Start your shop career as an Entry Level Diesel Technician in Charlotte, NC. Handle routine maintenance on trucks and trailers. Complete component replacements and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance including tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing.
• Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
• Communicate status updates to internal customers.
• Assist with general shop duties, including stocking, managing inventory and tracking repairs.

Skills and qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Relevant industry experience preferred.
• Computer systems experience.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working 50% or greater of the daily shift time between 3 p.m. and 5 a.m. local time receive a $1.50 per hour differential for hours worked.

Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working weekend hours receive an additional $0.65 per hour differential for hours worked (weekend hours worked between 9 p.m. Friday – 5 a.m. Monday).
