Entry-Level Design Technician – Electric Utility Projects
What You’ll Do
Complete design tasks for associated utility design projects. Tasks include but are not limited to drafting, engineering calculations, easement validation; design/construction cost estimating & permit package development.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Technical Related field preferred
- 0-2 years of electrical/utility/construction experience preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD, ArcFM/ArcMAP, Infor and Pole foreman preferred, but not required
- Reliable transportation
- Resilient and self-motivated
- Detail oriented

About the Role
We're hiring entry-level talent to support electric design projects across PPL Electric Utilities’ territory. You'll assist with drafting, basic calculations, permit packages, and more, with occasional local field visits.
Schedule
This is a work-from-home position that has required fieldwork across PPL Electric Utilities’ service territory including: Lock Haven, Bloomsburg, Sunbury, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton, East Stroudsburg, Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Harrisburg, Hershey, Lancaster, Doylestown, and nearby areas.
