Entry-Level Data Center Technician

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, entry-level Data Center Technician to join a growing team. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in physically demanding environments who are eager to learn and develop within the telecom and data center industry. No prior telecom experience is required—training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude, work ethic, and reliability.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moncks Corner, SC. The work is fully onsite.

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, and secure cabling throughout a data center environment.
• Scan, label, and document equipment using a computer system.
• Support installation and build-out tasks under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols.

Requirements

• Experience working in physically demanding environments (construction, trades, military, or similar).
• Comfortable working on ladders and/or lifts for extended periods (10‑hour shifts).
• Strong work ethic and a consistently positive attitude.
• Reliable attendance history and dependability.
• Ability to work overtime, including occasional mandatory overtime.

Skills

• Experience with Cat5 cabling.
• Basic electrical knowledge or hands‑on electrical experience.
• Military experience or similar disciplined work environment.

Schedule

Work performed primarily in data center environments. Monday–Saturday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Overtime is required as needed.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $20.00/hr.
