Entry Level Data Center Tech

Description

A Level 1 technician (helper) with not much telecom experience is needed. The hiring manager is looking for someone trainable with experience working in physically demanding jobs like construction, trades, military, etc. Work ethic and attitude are key, as the role involves working in a data center.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull and route cabling throughout the data center
• Assemble, stack, and drill racks
• Scan, label, and port equipment, use a computer to document locations/part numbers
• Support general installation tasks as directed by experienced technicians

Additional Required Attributes

• Experience working in physically demanding environments (construction, trades, military, or similar)
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliable attendance history
• Hands-on electrical or military experience is highly valued
• Must be able to work on ladders and lifts

Ideal personality profile is a hard worker who wants to grow with an organization, honest, and reliable. There is a lot of growth opportunity and looking for people who want to be leaders. This will most likely be a long-term contract with the possibility of going direct as an FTE of Vision Technology once headcount becomes available. This position will stay at $20/hr and could increase if the person moves into a leadership position, but not guaranteed under contract until an FTE.
