Available Position: Entry-Level Construction Project Accountant Position Location: Plainview, NY Position Overview: EW Howell is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Construction Project Accountant to join our team in our Plainview office. This position is ideal for an individual interested in accounting and construction project administration who is looking to develop a long-term career in project accounting. This role is not intended for candidates pursuing Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. Responsibilities include: Assist Senior Project Accountants with monthly requisition and billing deliverablesSupport subcontractor payment processing and lien waiver trackingEnter and maintain project-related financial data within accounting and construction management systemsReview project documentation for completeness and accuracyReconcile project records and maintain organized electronic filesCommunicate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients regarding project accounting mattersSupport month-end closing activities and reporting requirementsPerform other project accounting and administrative duties as assigned Qualification Requirements: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferredEntry-level candidates encouraged to applyStrong organizational and time management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookDetail-oriented with strong analytical abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsInterest in the construction industry and project accounting APPLY HERE More Current Openings Let's build together For general inquires or a new, New York-based construction project, click the button below or email info@ewhowell.com.
