Entry Level Compliance Technician

About the role
The Entry Level Compliance Technician will be responsible for routine LDAR and SPCC inspections, client interaction, routine reports, updating plans and drawings, communications with manager, and special projects as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine OVA and Method 21 LDAR inspections at a variety of industrial facilities.
- Conduct routine SPCC inspections at a variety of industrial facilities.
- Write reports using Microsoft Word and Excel, generate PowerPoint presentations, and use Visio to update facility schematics.
- Assist in the peer review process with other team members.
- Conduct inventories for SPCC.
- Assist with communications between Alliance team members and clients.
- Collect stormwater samples as needed.
- Attend safety training and incorporate safety into all job performance areas.
- Maintain knowledge and fluency with current and changing regulatory laws for the projects managed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree or college background in environmental science recommended/preferred.
- 5+ years of testing experience, including auditing experience preferred.
- Previous LDAR and LDAR database experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio), Adobe Products, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
- Industry knowledge, with strong mechanical aptitude.
- Use of basic office equipment: scanner, copier, and PC.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card may be required.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the team member may travel extensively to industrial work sites and be required to deliver results on strict deadlines. Overnight travel may be required based on the location the position is filled. Work may be performed in hazardous or extreme working conditions, and work from heights.
Physical Demands
- Constant work whether directly working on a project or behind the scenes preparing for one.
- Physical demands of testing, along with the mental stress of balancing personal issues with the amount of travel required.
- Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.
- Sitting for extended periods.
- Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information, and to prepare or inspect documents.
- Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculators, smart devices, and copiers.
- When traveling and on job sites, employees may occasionally be exposed to extreme environmental conditions or industrial hazards, including extreme temperatures, humidity, noise, vibration, atmospheric conditions, etc.
- Physical activity up to and including moderately heavy work.
- Constant walking, standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Frequent carrying, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, climbing, handling, grasping, feeling, and other repetitive motions.
- Frequent exposure to heights and requires climbing stairs and ladders.
- Ability to hear, talk, and communicate regularly.
Travel
Varies based on project scope but may require travel up to 50% of the time. Depending on the assignment and the remoteness of the site, may require a greater level of travel and travel on weekends.

Pay
$23/hr to $27/hr with potential overtime and annual profit-sharing bonuses.
