Description

Tecta America New England, founded in 1988 as Delta Roofing, is one of the largest and most successful roofing companies in the northeast. We are currently seeking entry-level roofers for our production crews in Portland, ME.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair various commercial roofing systems including EPDM, TPO, and PVC.
  • Work under the direction of the crew’s Foreman.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
  • Follow instructions, adhere to job specifications, and maintain safety guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively, manage time efficiently, and demonstrate professionalism.
  • Travel within 1 hour of the worksite.

Requirements

  • Commercial roofing or construction experience preferred, but training will be provided to the right candidates.
  • Ability to lift 25+ lbs. regularly and 50+ lbs. occasionally.
  • Experience working in an outdoor setting with varying weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation to and from jobsites/warehouse.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • At least 18 years of age.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.

Skills

  • Strong physical stamina and endurance.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

The starting pay rate is $22+/hr. The exact amount will be determined based on numerous factors including knowledge, skills, training, and experience. Additionally, there is a sign-on bonus of up to $1,500 available.

Full-time, year-round work schedule.
