Entry Level Civil/ Site Engineer

VHB’s Virginia offices are looking for a Civil/Site Designer to join our dynamic and growing Land Development and Planning & Design team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with talented professionals across diverse disciplines, gaining exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope. Our clients include leaders in commercial and residential development, industrial and hospitality sectors (including amusement parks), municipal and local governments, federal agencies like the National Park Service, Army Corps of Engineers, and State DOTs. Responsibilities
- Work within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of complex land development projects
- Civil engineering design and permitting of residential, industrial, hospitality, institutional and commercial sites including grading and drainage, utilities, roadways and parking
- Preparing plans and reports in support of State and local permitting
Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering or related field
- 0-1 years of engineering experience
- AutoCAD, HydroCAD and StormCAD experience (preferred)
- Competent with Microsoft Office products

Pay
Our best estimate of the salary range for this position is $73,000-76,000. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
