About the Role

Pay: $35–$40/hr (depending on experience) + overtime. If you're a recent graduate eager to start your engineering career or an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with a few years of experience, looking for a place to develop into a licensed Professional Engineer, consider joining proHNS LLC. Responsibilities

  • Site development design
  • Water & sewer utility design
  • Street & pedestrian facilities design
  • Drainage facilities & erosion stabilization design
  • Hydrology & hydraulic modeling
  • Environmental permitting
  • Construction inspection & contract administration support
  • Materials testing & inspection
  • Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, planners, and clients to bring projects from concept to completion

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (ABET accredited)
  • EIT certification (or ability to obtain within a year)
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn AutoCAD Civil 3D, EPANET, HEC-RAS, and MS Office
  • Clear communication and a collaborative mindset
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Comfortable visiting job sites and working outdoors
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to remote work sites throughout Southeast Alaska by small airplane or ferry
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
