Responsibilities
- Municipal utility and roadway design
- Site design
- Quantity estimates
- Other engineering support functions
- Design and prepare roadway construction drawings
- Create typical/cross sections, erosion and sediment control plans, maintenance of traffic plans, stormwater management, drainage design, signing and pavement marking plans, and right-of-way plans
- Develop 3-D models using Bentley CONNECT or Civil 3D software
- Oversee CADD technicians to verify work is done properly and accurately
- Perform construction observation
- Conduct field-required concrete or asphalt testing
- Prepare and document material reports, test results, and material sources
- Maintain daily inspection logs and address discrepancies with appropriate parties
- Prepare and review pay reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- EI or ability to take FE exam within 6 months
- 0-5 years of experience in Municipal or Transportation design
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent computer and communication skills
- Experience with Autocad Civil 3D and/or Bentley CONNECT
