As an Entry Level Urban Mobility Civil Design Engineer in our Urban Mobility & Infrastructure group, you will be exposed to a wide variety of innovative and diverse projects, including:

  • Civil design of reconstruction projects balancing pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle priorities
  • Civil improvements for light rail transit (LRT), highway, and arterial Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects
  • Pedestrian/bicycle-focused improvement projects

Responsibilities

  • Assist the design team in producing quality products for our clients
  • Engage in a positive work environment with an open mind to learning new skills and software associated with typical project requirements
  • Be an active participant on a collaborative design team with other groups/disciplines within SRF
  • Exhibit quality day-to-day work in line with SRF’s quality management plan
  • Perform design calculations, cost estimates, plan production, and onsite construction field observations and inspection (travel required)
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Successful completion of the FE exam or qualification to take the FE exam within six months of starting
  • Related internship(s) experience preferred
  • Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley 3D design tools a plus
  • Desire to pursue professional engineering licensure
  • Interest or passion for designing inclusive urban mobility solutions that balance the needs of pedestrians, cyclists, vehicles, and transit

Pay

Salary: $80,500. Compensation is determined by education, experience, skills, job location, internal equity, market analysis, and specific qualifications relevant to the role.

All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for new employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
