Civil Design Engineer - Entry Level
What You'll Do
- Applies principles, methods, and techniques of civil engineering as they relate to the design of drainage and stormwater systems, water main systems, sanitary sewer systems, roadways and other infrastructure.
- Performs design and analysis for civil engineering projects using approved computer programs and manual computations in accordance with the accepted design practice.
- Prepares design calculations, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
- Works independently on design and production of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
- Performs their own CAD work.
- Affords assistance to Project Engineers and Project Managers with project administrative activities, document controls, and project scheduling.
- Assists with other assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- Engineering in Instrumentation (EI) license or on EI track preferred.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of MicroStation and Geopak preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
