Entry-Level Automotive Technician

About the role

We’re seeking Automotive Mechanics with at least one year of professional repair experience to join Carvana, the fastest‑growing used‑auto retailer in U.S. history and a Fortune‑500 company. As a Brake & Tire Technician you’ll perform light maintenance and repairs, including brake and tire changes, routine inspections, and basic mechanical work on brake pads, calipers, rotors, tire installations, and wheel alignments. You’ll work in our high‑tech Inspection Centers using state‑of‑the‑art tools, with access to training programs that help your skills and pay grow with the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance and repairs, including changing brakes and tires
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
• Carry out basic mechanical repairs: brake pads, calipers, rotors
• Install tires and perform wheel alignments
• Use state‑of‑the‑art tools and equipment in the Inspection Center

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of professional automotive repair experience
• At least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently
• Ability to operate vehicle equipment and tools
• Capable of working in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing production environment
• Tolerant of exposure to extreme weather conditions (heat/cold)
• Willing to use required safety equipment (face shield/goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, etc.)
• Possible Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check for some positions
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Skills

• Brake pad, caliper, and rotor replacement
• Tire installation and wheel alignment

Pay

$21 - $24 hourly

Schedule

Monday‑Friday, 6 AM – 3 PM; mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs.
