Entry-level Auto Technician (2nd Shift)

About the role

As an Entry‑Level Technician you will work in a high‑tech Inspection Center performing light maintenance, fluid checks, and initial vehicle inspections to identify imperfections or needed repairs during the reconditioning process. Carvana also offers a variety of other technician roles (e.g., Brake and Tire Technician, Mid‑Level Technician, Experienced Technician) and additional automotive positions across its 18 locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance and fluid checks on vehicles.
• Conduct initial inspections to identify imperfections or repairs needed throughout the reconditioning process.
• Use state‑of‑the‑art tools and equipment in the Inspection Center.
• Participate in mandatory overtime when business needs require it.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of professional automotive repair experience.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold).
• Use of safety equipment such as face shield/goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Willingness to submit to a background check; role not eligible for visa sponsorship.
