Entry-Level Auto Body Technician

About the role

Carvana is seeking Autobody Preppers with at least one year of professional automotive bodywork experience. As an Auto Body Repair Technician, you will perform light bodywork including prepping, sanding, and buffing vehicles; removing and installing bumpers; minor plastic welding; and small area bodywork (including Bondo repair). You'll work in a high‑tech Inspection Center using state‑of‑the‑art tools, with opportunities for training and skill progression.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of professional automotive bodywork experience
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools; lift up to 60 lb independently
• At least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license (some positions subject to MVR check)
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)
• Use of required safety equipment (face shield/goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, etc.)
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must pass a complete background check; role not eligible for visa sponsorship

Pay

$20.00 – $23.00 hourly, based on experience and skill level.

Schedule

Day shift: 6:00 am – 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required on Saturdays as needed; mandatory overtime possible based on business needs.
