Entry-Level Architecture Designer
About the Role
AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Architecture Designer to be based in North Charleston, SC. This position is expected to begin in May 2027. The selected candidate must be available to work in North Charleston, SC on a hybrid work schedule, which includes in-office work.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic architectural/engineering calculations.
- Prepare specifications, reports, and related data tables.
- Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups.
- Prepare, review, and approve drawings as required.
- Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and departments participating on an assigned project.
- Assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Hybrid work schedule requiring in-office presence in North Charleston, SC.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available now or in the future.
Qualifications
- Prior related internship or experience is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Master's Degree in Architecture preferred.
Pay
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, and experience. The range for this position is $30 to $40 per hour.
